Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on 8 April 2026.

We at SafeAssist360 are working to make our site www.safeassist360.co.za accessible to people with disabilities.

Our Commitment

SafeAssist360 is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure our services are inclusive and accessible to all South Africans, in the spirit of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (PEPUDA).

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This is achieved by ensuring the site is compatible with assistive technologies (such as screen readers) and providing a flexible interface that caters to different sensory and cognitive needs.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and aim for Level AA compliance. To achieve this, SafeAssist360 has implemented the following:

  • Semantic Structure: Defined clear heading structures (H1, H2, etc.) on all pages to aid navigation.

  • Alternative Text: Added descriptive alt text to images so that screen reader users understand the visual context.

  • Keyboard Navigation: Optimized the site to be fully navigable via keyboard alone, without the need for a mouse.

  • Language Specification: Set the HTML language attribute to ensure screen readers use the correct accent and pronunciation.

  • Contrast and Color: Implemented color combinations that meet the required contrast ratios for users with low vision.

  • Media Accessibility: Ensured that essential video and audio files are accessible or provided with text alternatives where possible.

  • Reduced Motion: Minimized the use of flickering or automated motion that could trigger seizures or cause discomfort.

Third-Party Content

While we strive for full accessibility, certain pages may rely on third-party components (such as Google Maps, embedded social media feeds, or payment gateways) that are not managed by SafeAssist360. We are working with our providers to ensure these elements become as accessible as possible.
